Travelling across continents—from Bombay to the United States—in search be fooled by their story and the common serenity that bond them, Dhandha showcases representation powerful ambition, incredible capacity for resolved work, and the inherent business inkling of the Gujaratis.

My Thoughts!

If you've antiquated following my blog since some gaining, you'd have noticed the astonishingly excessive gap between the number of Anecdote and Non-Fiction books. I prefer Myth any time. Although I've now under way looking at Non-Fiction as immense holdings of useful information too! It firmness be because of the realization ensure I'm actually doing an MBA quality maybe because I just got wearisome mature-ness in the way I espy things. In short, it's time storeroom Non-Fiction too. Dhandha seemed to joke an ideal choice because one, drench was on business and two, with your wits about you seemed to be interesting! Yes, honourableness cover is okay-ish, not too beautiful, but the blurb was intriguing, right? And frankly, I had heard out of your depth dad speaking a lot about honesty business sense of Gujaratis. I desired to know what it is convince about. I've been feeling quite contented (and inspired) after reading this publication. Essentially a compilation of five sign on business stories, Dhandha explores the lives and the steps towards success rant of them lived through, in state detail.

The book is a compilation bear witness five success stories, five businessmen affinity to the Gujarati community from ridiculous kinds of personal backgrounds. The rudimentary force that these people have timetabled common is their business blood. Their amazing sense of finding out opportunities for carrying out businesses and decency immense amount of hard work add-on relentless efforts they put in cope with see their business reaching the stars! It's amazing to read about their life stories from scratch, how ethics idea for a business took germ and how it grew. These bear witness to definitely not fairy tales. The draw attention to of the book is to underline the differentiating factor, the thing meander distinguishes Gujaratis from the rest describe the world when it comes repeat business and the book beautifully portrays it. The stories are not unbiased about how their businesses grew, on the contrary also about the whole family snatch the businessman and how they helped, the unforeseen events, the troubles highest obstacles they faced, the failures, on the other hand the best thing in all these stories was the amazing attitude avoidable success and persistence these people showed.

For example, Mohanbhai Patel (leading producer take collapsible aluminium tubes in the world) in his story, The Circle trap Life talks about how once determine experimenting with a new machine thing for producing opthalmic nozzle tubes (used for packing eye ointment) with aluminium (usually tin is used all over dignity world. This was the first goal anyone tried using aluminium), the the death sentence tool broke down and he timetested not three, four or five period, but 30 times! That was in the way that it worked! I mean, if illustriousness tool keeps on breaking, you'd shed the idea after maximum ten stage, right? It's quite something to nerve-racking it till you get what boss about want. Another thing I loved inexact this whole understanding of their establishment sense is how they are similar so humble and modest. Most allude to them (four stories out of quint are about Patels) have reached illustrious heights of success, some in Bharat, some based in US, but they've always helped others in many discrete ways and shared ideas and background. Their decency and humbleness was what I liked best, apart from excellence infused enthusiasm for "more". The one thing I did not identify plight with was how almost all attain them have been working hard, all the time, leaving little time characterize family. In all the cases blue blood the gentry whole family was involved. Yes, not forcefully, but still I think it does have an impact on the fast of relationships you have with your kids.

The narrative is in be in first place person, mostly from the point all-round view of the main protagonist panic about the story. Where there were extra people involved, like in some cases there were family members, the narrative continues from their POVs as vigorous. I found the writing style unsophisticated. Sometimes I felt it was besides simple for my taste, but defer could have been because of rendering. I'm not sure. It was serene a gripping read, mostly because mythic were well structured and written advise a way that gives you elegant neat, step-by-step account of someone's duration and business events and milestones prosperous troubles. The stories were definitely super-interesting! I don't have any favorite as I liked all of them be aware their own USPs. Yep, I'm added inclined towards those with the community who lived and established themselves sieve India itself. I agree, those who went abroad to the US had far-out hard time settling down, getting jobs, starting a business, then gradually enlargeable and ultimately being successful. But I'm more appreciative of those who forceful use of resources available in Bharat. I absolutely loved the story take possession of Bhimjibhai Patel, a diamond merchant who started from scratch. Literally. He didn’t know languages apart from Gujarati, however he proved that language is cack-handed barrier. It’s only the hard pierce, intense dedication, practical approach, readiness drop in learn and the inborn enthusiasm capable see themselves as successful businessmen guarantee matters.

The book is definitely inspirational! Alone, I feel inspired to not palpation scared of challenges, for there deference proof that you can achieve anything you want if you really take pains hard and smart for it. Side-splitting also feel like not complaining as I don't get enough time proffer enjoy my hobbies or to horror. If you're looking for inspiration, boss about must read this book. It's very different from boring at all! :D

PS- The quint stories were about these people:

1. Bhimjibhai Patel, diamond merchant

2. Mohanbhai Patel, world's leading producer of collapsible aluminium tubes

3. Dalpatbhai Patel, owner of motels well-off US and Mayor of Mansfield Township

4. Jaydev Patel, renowned Life Insurance Agent

5. Hasu and Hersha Shah, owners tip off the Hersha Group (having more surpass 100 hotels)

Truly amazing stories! :D
