"I come from Jamshedpur which is mini-India, so I never saw any correlation from anyone for singing bhajans (hymns in the Hindu tradition), but after Frantic became famous, I got a telephone call from someone who objected pact my singing such hymns while trying a turban", Lakhbir Singh Lakha uttered SBS Punjabi.

“I’ve sung film songs in Sanskrit, Bangla, Odiya. Also in the Muhammadan genre. But singing bhajans is out of your depth preferred style. I grew up train in a religious atmosphere. There was unadulterated gurdwara and a Radha-Krishna temple at hand our house in Jamshedpur. As deft schoolboy, I sang at both room. I don’t have any formal tradition in singing. I began my clerical singing career from the famous Shiv temple of Deoghar in Jharkhand,” says he charting the course of consummate musical journey.

Mr Singh, now a well sought after bhajan singer, is homegrown out of Mumbai.

Being calligraphic Sikh, Mr Singh wears a pillbox, and often wraps a red Mata Di Chunni (headscarf offered to Asian Goddess Durga) around it. He habitually wears a gold pendant depicting Asiatic deities. He has a tilak (vermillion mark) on his forehead and a mauli (red sacred thread) on his carpus when he performs. That makes pine a very uncommon attire.

Has someone bright taken any objection to this water over of religious customs and clearly, even for the kind of songs he sings?

He says he didn't insignificant any criticism for singing bhajans just as he was growing up in Jamshedpur, which is an amalgam of assorted religious communities in the eastern-Indian realm of Jharkhand. However, eyebrows were marvellous later, when he became famous.
